“MORE THE COLORS, THE MERRIER IT GETS”
I sometimes wonder what would the world be like without colors.
No paintings! No colorful walls! There would be no pleasure watching a rainbow lighting up the sky. Or wait! would it even be there in that case?
There are infinite colors, and each has its own beauty and charm! Some represent sadness, while some just ooze out the happy vibes. Colors are blessings to our eyes or else life would seem like an 80’s black and white movie!
Today’s post is inspired by the beauty of colors and the joy they bring out in our lives. And what better example than this colorful skirt which I bought from Sarojini Nagar after a lot of haggling. Trust me, that shop has the most amazing palazzos and skirts ever. I could never convince myself to buy anything from Sarojini for more than 250 bucks until now. Okay! don’t judge me. But when I saw this skirt, I knew it belongs in my wardrobe than any other place on earth. It has the most vibrant colors making it a perfect wear for summers and mostly when you want to get all dolled up and look pretty. They have used a lot of cloth at the end to increase the circumference and give a perfect “ghera”(flare) to it.
I earlier decided to pair this beauty with a denim shirt which I got from the same market, at a very reasonable price. In my previous post, I have mentioned how they have a huge collection of denim and you just need to find the right piece amongst the not-so-right ones. It pairs nicely with denim as well! Since you can see clearly in the pictures, I didn’t use the denim shirt. Instead, I wore a different top by Flyrobe which I received as part of their gift hamper. Gifts are always appreciated, but this one just stood out for me. The pastel blue shade looks pretty and compliments well with the brighter colors of the skirt. The best part is that it has ruffles around the neck and the wrist, which makes it quite a different pick from the usual tops I have.
Also, the look is easy and nude. I plaited my hair in the front (actually, not me! 😛 ) and left the rest to fall loosely. I am absolutely in love with this hairstyle.
