The fashion industry was taken by a storm in the year, which even mortals like us noticed. From fringes to asymmetrical lobs, Coachella bleached looks to tattoos, from platinum blonde locks to daring red carpet choices, a range of cosmetic products, 2016-17 has shown us all. The technology-meets-fashion themed VMAs, the Victoria Secret fashion show, Kendall+Kylie line of apparels, the sheer numbers, and the rage of plus-size models has all in all ensured it to be an interesting year.

My constant perusal of magazines, stalking of magazines online and the celebrities, as well as the products, endorsed (so much so my thumb now automatically double taps on Instagram), has given me much loved favourites with respect to looks, cosmetics and skin care products. So for all you looking for a way out of the daily humdrum, who are scared and fascinated with fashion at the same time, here is a list of five important tidbits related to fashion:

1. Pop colors

From lipstick to hair, pop, neon and shocking pastels have taken over the runways in 2017. Matte neon lip colours to shocking pink hair, the appeal does not die down. Pop colors just add the right amount of drama and create a visual treat for our minds.
Again, if you are reluctant to add such attention-seeking colors to your wardrobe, settle for accessorizing with neon colored belts, sneakers, and even hair clips.
Even men took to sporting these in cuff-links, the lining of their shirts and even buttons.
Pop colours add a fresh and daring edge to any outfit.

4. Accessories

A white tee and plain jeans? Spice it up with a tassel-earrings or a chunky neckpiece. I cannot emphasise the importance of accessories, be it a statement piece or even as small as the studs in your ears. The right bag can take your look to another level and the wrong shoes can make your perfect outfit look anything but.

5. A nude and a rude red lipstick

From my look books you may have gathered that I prefer minimal make up looks, but a statement red lipstick is a staple in my little bag of wonders. It can amp up your look to another level, giving you the edge which goes so well with simplicity.
A nude lip on the other hand, gives you a medium to be chic as well as stylish at the same time. Wear it at a designer event or a simple outing, it can be styled in different ways.
