The struggle of finding the right outfits for your wedding or for someone else’s day is real. Being an Indian woman, it is hard not to fall in love with ethnic attires. I have seen sarees and lehengas my entire life and have always pictured myself wearing  and carrying them with the grace and class my mother uses. The variety of fabrics available in the market is so vast that you can always pick different pieces each time and get yourself dolled up according to the occasions in question.

I have never tried a banarasi saree or a lehenga, but I had my eyes rolling on them for quite a while now. The moment I got the option to wear a banarasi lehenga which was available on Flyrobe, I order this piece of beauty in an instant. I definitely will not ask you to wear one of this kind clothing at any random wedding, where your motive is to get your stomach filled with all the delicious food. The amount of weight, and the intricate designs this attire offers, I would rather suggest you to consider this for one of your own wedding function or a wedding of someone close to you. This lehenga has exquisite banarasi fabric with a lot of embroidery and zari work on it. The color is nothing less than perfect to grab all the eyeballs on you. I have accessorized it with a long necklace, which came as an additional accessory along with the lehenga. I have used a gold chain as a headband and added two bindis of a mustard and red color at the center. If you are going for an event in bright daylight, don’t forget to add a pair of reflectors so you could show some “Indian swag” to the people around. 😉 Mixing two styles are always a good option and it always stands out from sticking to the old traditioned fashion ways. Lastly, I have added a red lipstick with a few red and orange bangles considering how beautifully orange compliments the pink. They say it’s all in the details. (Don’t ask me, who are THEY! 😛 )

Well, not everyone prefers their outfit as heavy as this one, which is why I would be bringing a much lighter and wearable look in the next series of my Wedding Lookbook. Watch out this space for more and let me know if you want me to review any other wedding outfits. 🙂
